Kimberly Renee is an expert Event/Conference planner with over 10 years experience. She is currently the VP of Marketing and Development for Digest Tradeshow Management a company based in Medford, NJ. In her role she is responsible for planning new shows from inception to execution.

Prior to joining Digest Tradeshow Management, she spent 8 years as the State Director for the Miss New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland American Teen Scholarship Programs as well as the Producer of the National Miss American Teen event. This program is committed to the growth, education and development of young women across the country while reinforcing the importance of family and community involvement.

Kimberly is very involved and committed to community service and has coordinated extensive fundraising for such charities such as the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Lupus Foundation, Veteran’s Association, any many more. Through her current Limo Digest Show she hosts an auction to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which has generated over $265,000 in the last 3 years.

Kimberly’s passion and commitment to the growth of women has led her to create the Executive Women Leading The Way Conference, scheduled to launch January 24-26, 2007 at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Beach. Her dream and passion is to help women across the country tap into their full potential and provide the education and tools they need to do just that.

Ms. Renee was born and raised in Toms River New Jersey and currently resides in Marlton, New Jersey with her bulldog and boxer.

Karen Schenck

Show Manager

Karen Schenck has been involved in the production and management of large-scale events and conferences for over a decade. She is currently the Show Manager for Digest Tradeshow Management and is responsible for conference event planning, organizing, and the coordination of all exhibitors and attendees. Karen is very passionate about giving back and works with many charities such as Make-A-Wish, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and Toys for Tots.

She resides in Toms River with her Husband of 40 years and has 4 children. She loves to quilt, spend time with her family and is an avid bowler.

Sharon Ronchetti
Vice President - Modern Technologies Group

Sharon Ronchetti has been employed with Modern Technologies Group Inc since 1995.  She served in the capacity of Controller for the first eight years before receiving her promotion to Vice President in April 2004.

She is a graduate of Rider University holding a degree in Accounting and Finance.  Sharon is the mother of three boys and serves the local community as Treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 14 and participates actively as a Committee Member.  Ms. Ronchetti is also a registered member of NAFE (National Association of Female Executives).

Lauren E. Garvey

Lauren E. Garvey is a seasoned and respected Public Relations professional with more than 16 years serving entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 corporations both corporately and on the agency side.  She is Founder and CEO of LG Connections, LLC.  Her clients include Office Depot, Dress for Success and Women’s Radio Network.  In addition, she was recently named Communications Officer, Partner for Miss O & Friends™, the only lifestyle brand created “by girls for girls ages 8-12, which helps girls build a sense of self/self esteem.  (www.missoandfriends.com)  Prior to staring her own firm, she was Managing Director of the JKG Group and responsible for its Public Relations and Communications division, which she began in 2002 and handled all corporate philanthropy and retail store openings for Office Depot, a leading global provider of office products and services. 

In addition, she is an expert in event planning for community events and corporate and national conferences.  She handled all public relations for Office Depot's Success Strategies for Businesswomen's conference, recognized as one of the nation’s most prominent events for women business owners as well as for corporate female professionals since its inception in 2001.

Prior to joining the JKG Group, Inc., she was the Director of Media Relations for Office Depot and prior to that post, she spent 7 years in the travel industry as the Director of Public Affairs for The Hertz Corporation.   She began her career at Wells Rich Greene BDDP, a full service advertising agency servicing clients that included Ford Motor Company, The Hertz Corporation, ITT Sheraton, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Phillip Morris, Procter & Gamble, and Seagrams Beverage Company.

Ms. Garvey has a proven track record of securing media coverage and has a tremendous list of media contacts nationally in business, e-commerce, education, women’s marketing and in South Florida and the New England area, as well as nationally in the travel industry, retail sector, E-commerce, women's market and business press.

She is a former Advisory Board Member and adjunct professor of Pace University's Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, where she obtained her B.B.A in Marketing and a minor in Literature/Communications. In addition, she continues to be an active Pace Alumni mentor by helping Pace graduates’ network and find jobs in the Public Relations industry. She also holds a M.S. degree in Public Relations/Public Affairs from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.

Ms. Garvey was born and raised in northern New Jersey and currently resides along the Jersey shore in Little Egg Harbor.

Dr. Betty C. Spence, Ph.D.
President, NAFE

Dr. Betty C. Spence, Ph.D. became President of The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) in 2001. From 1994-1999 at Catalyst, a non-profit committed to the advancement of women, Spence served as VP of communications and publications. She wrote Be Your Own Mentor (2001), a book on propelling your own advancement. In addition, she crafted speeches for the president and oversaw the editing and publication of two other books, Advancing Women in Business: Best Practices from the Corporate Leaders (1998) and Creating Women's Networks (1999). Spence cut her PR teeth at Hill and Knowlton in media relations, speech writing, and crisis counseling. Her career also included a stint at Chief Executive magazine and work as a contributing writer to the Los Angeles Times and The Christian Science Monitor. She holds a Ph.D. in English literature and honed her writing skills teaching literature, writing, and film studies at college and high school levels.
